LOCATION:
Alpharetta, GA  

 

OVERVIEW:
To direct, plan, execute and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of computer systems to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT assets. This includes developing, configuring, and optimizing all new and existing server hardware and Select Operating System software. Set global policies and standards for server infrastructure and ensure these standards and clearly communicated and followed in a timely and accurate manner


EDUCATION:

-BS in computer science or related technical discipline, or related job experience


REQUIRED SKILLS:

-5 years’ experience in Information Technology.

-7 years’ experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide Servers, Server Migrations, & Data Center management.

-Superior technical knowledge and Hands On experience with server, PC operating systems, enterprise backup & recovery solutions. Unix, Windows server Operating Systems, Citrix XenApp, Microsoft Active Directory, SAN [storage area networks] VMWARE & Virtualization technologies), Enterprise Backup Recovery.

-Management of diverse computing environments ranging from remote management of small single site locations to large complex data centers supporting multiple business units and time zones.

-Proven experience in planning, organizing and executing large scale technical projects. Global experience preferred.

-Experience with Project Management, planning, project, resource management.

-Hands-on experience with design / development / system architecture, integration and application

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Participate as a member of the senior IT management team in governance processes of the organization’s systems architecture.

-Develop and communicate technology alignment plans to executive team, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders.

-Conduct research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable in regards to industry trends and emerging technologies for servers and data centers.

-Provide guidance/expertise related to Server and International data center Infrastructure on complex technical projects, business issues or outages

-Plan, lead, coordinate and execute technology projects on a global and/or regional scale. Creatively and independently provide resolution to technical problems in a cost-effective manner.

Oversee the International server operations including the data centers in Europe, Asia, South America and North America .

-Develop global business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spending and initiatives.

-Define requirements for new technology implementations and communicate them to key business stakeholders.

-Define and communicate policies, procedures, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating new infrastructure systems, equipment, and software.

-Domestic and international travel required to company production sites and business offices for planning and implementing technical solutions.
